About this file

This is a Project Manual for a state and local contract opportunity issued by the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, for the Regional Airport Entry Vestibule Door Replacement Project (RFP 04-26, SLA Project No. 25034). The project involves the demolition and replacement of existing East and West entry vestibules at the Wichita Falls Regional Airport located at 4000 Armstrong Drive, Wichita Falls, Texas 76305. The work encompasses furnishing and installing replacement entry vestibule systems at designated terminal entrances with the goals of improving energy efficiency, passenger flow, ADA accessibility, safety, and overall aesthetics. The project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The project manual outlines comprehensive construction requirements across multiple divisions including general requirements, existing conditions, metals, wood/plastics, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. The manual establishes detailed procedures for submittals, quality assurance and quality control, payment applications, construction progress documentation, and project closeout requirements. SLA Architects (located at 2004 Quail Creek, Wichita Falls, TX 76308) serves as the project architect, with Jenny Stevens designated as the Owner's representative.

The contract documents establish specific procedures for contractor submissions including schedule of values, construction schedules, submittal schedules, product data, shop drawings, and samples, all requiring architect approval within 15 days of receipt. Contractors must maintain the existing building in weathertight condition during construction while accommodating full Owner occupancy and maintaining existing exits. Work hours must be coordinated with the Owner, with potential access granted outside normal facility operating hours. The contract prohibits tobacco and controlled substance use within the existing building and within 25 feet of entrances or outdoor-air intakes. All applications for payment must use AIA Document G702 and G703 forms and include required supporting documentation. Contractor must provide quality assurance services and engage qualified testing agencies for field quality-control testing. The project manual does not specify contract award dates, pricing terms, or funding sources within the provided content sections, though it establishes comprehensive administrative and procedural requirements for performance of the work.
