About this file

This response to a request for information provides details on a limited scope and tenant backfill project solicitation issued by the General Services Administration. The solicitation seeks a lead design architect and engineer for renovations and tenant improvements to Building 53 at the Federal Center. An on-site building walkthrough had been requested by a potential offeror to gain insight into the existing facility, however the response indicates the project scope of work and design documents included in the solicitation are sufficient at this stage of the procurement. An in-person site visit is planned once the qualification phase is complete and phase two is underway. Interested parties should review the solicitation documentation for details on the building renovations and tenant backfill services required, as well as submission instructions and timelines.

RFI #2 – Building 53 Limited Scope & Tenant Backfill Project- RFIs

December 6, 2019

7. I wanted to schedule a building walk to get a sense of the existing facility for GSA Building 53 at the

Federal Center for the upcoming Tenant Backfill Project. Please let me know if that would be possible. I appreciate your help with this and looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

Answer: At this time there is no building walk scheduled. The Scope of Work and PDS provided in the solicitation posting is sufficient information for any firm to provide the Phase One Qualifications which is all that is required. A site walk is anticipated for Phase Two of the procurement.
