About this file
This document is a set of discussion questions for a Live Request for Information (RFI) event related to the Federal Railroad Administration's (FRA) upcoming Enterprise Data Integration and Management Support (EDIMS) Services requirement. The RFI is seeking industry feedback on the contract structure, pricing arrangements, acquisition strategy, technical requirements, and other considerations for the EDIMS services.
The key details include:

- FRA is seeking a modern, integrated data management solution such as a data lake house or data lake with an enterprise data warehouse.
- FRA wants to ensure the data management solution remains relevant and scalable throughout the contract period.
- FRA is considering using a Statement of Objectives (SOO) with a contractor-proposed Performance Work Statement (PWS) versus a government-developed PWS.
- FRA is interested in understanding industry trends, best practices, and challenges related to providing data management services, as well as strategies to avoid vendor lock-in.
