About this file

This Addendum #1 to RFI001-25 contains questions and answers regarding a Request for Information (RFI) for licensed, affordable childcare services issued by the State of Georgia. The RFI seeks to identify potential childcare providers to deliver services in Georgia, with specific focus on licensed facilities in areas such as Gwinnett County. Prospective providers must hold current Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) licensure to be eligible for consideration.

Key requirements and restrictions include that providers must secure their own funding to meet program requirements, as no startup support or initial funding will be provided by the government entity. Providers are prohibited from constructing additions to existing facilities or repurposing space for kitchen areas; instead, they must arrange food services or meal planning through external means. The opportunity is restricted to Georgia-licensed childcare providers only, with out-of-state licensure from other states such as Wisconsin not qualifying applicants for participation in this initiative.
