REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS UNDER NAICS 237990
Canyon Ferry Riprap
SUPPLY
SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS
This request for information is open to all interested parties, however small businesses are strongly encouraged to respond. For the purpose of this enquiry, a small business is defined as a Small Business Concern under NAICS Code 423320 “Brick, Stone, and Related Construction Material Merchant Wholesalers.” The Small Business Size Standard is 150 employees. The Government shall verify all submissions meet the small business requirement per the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) in addition to the Small Business Administration Dynamic Small Business Search website.
BACKGROUND
The Bureau of Reclamation Upper Colorado Region’s Provo Area Office has a requirement for 7,200 tons of D50 24-inch riprap to be delivered to the Canyon Ferry Reservoir near Townsend, MT not later than 30 November 2018. The vendor will be responsible for supplying, delivering, offloading, and piling the material into accessible piles located at three Government directed locations on-site.
Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for supplying and using, as necessary, up to 100 tons of road base. A dirt road exists along the top of the dikes for access to the stockpile locations. The road may need periodic attention with a piece of equipment and the addition of some aggregate base course throughout delivery. The stockpile areas may also need some aggregate base course to help facilitate truck access on and off the road. The vendor will be required to maintain the road only to the extent that they can maintain accessibility throughout delivery. This effort is anticipated to be minimal. It will entail filling, with aggregate base course, any potholes or ruts created by the delivery process. The vendor will not be responsible for any pre-existing road conditions and/or road damage caused by significant rains, floods, washouts, or other unanticipated barriers to access.
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY
This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR Subpart 15.201(e). Furthermore, Reclamation is not, at this time, seeking any proposals and will not accept any unsolicited proposals for this project. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of information; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense.
The Government shall not be liable for, or suffer, any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Response to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website and on Fedconnect.net. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor these sites for the possibility of additional information pertaining to this requirement.
SITE VISIT
