A. BACKGROUND
Air Force Lifecycle Management, Business Enterprise Systems, Financial Systems Division (AFLCMC/HIG) seeks to gather information about industry capabilities to create a new interface module for Windows General Accounting Microcomputer Processing System (WinGAMPS).
WinGAMPS is one of the subsystems within the General Accounting and Finance System – Base Level (GAFS-BL). WinGAMPS interfaces with DISA’s Multi-Host Internet Access Portal (MIAP) via the internet and creates/sends financial batch transactions to GAFS-BL for processing. MIAP is moving to Host Access for the Cloud (HA Cloud), which will break the interface and require a rewrite of WinGAMPS. The HA Cloud is a web client that provides browser-based HTML5 access to 3270, 5250, VT, UTS, ALC, and T27 host applications. It eliminates the need to touch the desktop. The web client operates with complete session protection using SSL/TLS to secure communication with mainframe systems. Without the rewrite of the interface, WinGAMPS would be at a stop and GAFS-BL will not be able to build transaction data.
B. REQUIREMENTS
AFLCMC/HIG is seeking to find out if companies can create a new interface module for WinGAMPS that connects to Micro Focus’ new Host Access for the cloud (HA Cloud) platform to connect to GAFS-BL mainframe under the following conditions:
1. New interface module shall not use Java applets.
2. New interface module shall be web browser independent.
3. A .Net solution is suggested for greater compatibility and maintainability. However, other solutions will be considered.
4. New interface module needs to merge into current WinGAMPS source code. WinGAMPS is written in C.
5. All references to Java and/or Java applets within current WinGAMPS source code need to be removed or commented out.
6. New interface module shall connect to GAFS-BL mainframe through HA Cloud to upload multiple batch transaction files using screen scrape.
7. Once connected to HA Cloud, new interface module shall have the ability to interface with
DISA’s Multi-Host Internet Access Portal (MIAP) in order to connect to GAFS-BL mainframe.
C. INFORMATION REQUESTED
The Government requests information to understand whether or not the requirements identified in paragraph B can be satisfied to allow WinGAMPS to connect to Micro Focus’ new Host Access for the cloud (HA Cloud) platform and what, if any additional information is necessary to provide a proposal.
D. RESPONSES
Responses to this RFI should be in portrait layout with 12 point font or higher and not exceeding 5 pages in total length. The document can be either PDF or MS Word format and should include institution name, points of contact (address, phone number), DUNS number, CAGE code whether you sell your software or services on GSA federal supply schedule, other government wide acquisition contracts or Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts.
Information is hereby requested to gain information about goods and services available to satisfy the requirements in paragraph B. REQUIREMENTS. Unsolicited sales-oriented types of presentations are undesired.
Gantt charts included for project plans and any other PowerPoint style graphics should be pasted as inline images into the MS Word or PDF document. Landscape mode will suffice for wide layout charts.
Please provide responses no later than 2:00 PM, CST, 18 June 2020. Please submit responses electronically, via email to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Andrew Williams andrew.williams.67@us.af.mil and Contracting Specialist, Ms. Rose Hudson rose.hudson.1@us.af.mil.
