About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 regarding ultrasound equipment, specifically Sonosite brand systems. The RFI seeks information from potential vendors and contractors regarding the availability, specifications, and capabilities of ultrasound equipment that could support VA medical operations. The solicitation number is 36C26226Q1014, and it is classified as a pre-solicitation notice, indicating the agency is gathering market research before issuing a formal Request for Proposals.

The RFI is designed to inform vendors of the VA's potential interest in procuring ultrasound equipment and to collect technical and commercial information that will shape a future formal solicitation. Interested parties are expected to provide detailed information about their ultrasound products, including technical specifications, pricing structures, delivery capabilities, and service/support offerings. This pre-solicitation phase allows the VA to understand market capabilities and refine requirements before proceeding to a full competitive procurement. No formal response deadline or award date is specified in an RFI, as these are informational in nature; however, vendors should monitor the opportunity for subsequent formal solicitation announcements.
