About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Salem Area Mass Transit District (SAMTD) regarding a public transit dashboard solution. SAMTD seeks to verify market availability of SaaS dashboard platforms that offer functionality comparable to TransDASH, the platform SAMTD currently utilizes. The RFI requires responses to be submitted by March 3, 2026, to SAMTD's Procurement Department at 555 Court Street NE, Suite 5230, Salem, Oregon 97301-3980. Responses must include the vendor's name, address, email, phone number, and a detailed statement supporting or arguing against SAMTD's consideration of alternative solutions, including competitor company names and web addresses. All vendors must register with Oregon's e-procurement system, OregonBuys, prior to submission, and faxed responses will not be accepted.

The dashboard platform must provide customized SAMTD data analysis, validate performance measures, and enable peer-to-peer comparison data from a minimum of ten public transit agencies across the United States. Key requirements include alignment with SAMTD's existing strategic plan measures and KPIs, SaaS platform delivery only, and no-cost staff training. SAMTD's objective is to maintain a consistent, data-driven platform for ongoing monitoring, benchmarking, and reporting to external stakeholders across community, customer, and taxpayer value metrics. This RFI represents SAMTD's market research to confirm that TransDASH remains the optimal solution for the district's public transit performance management needs.

SALEM AREA MASS TRANSIT DISTRICT

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

PUBLIC TRANSIT DASHBOARD

OBJECTIVE:

Ensure there are no other SaaS dash boards that offer the unique value we have found in TransDash.

The purpose of this RFI is to inform the public SAMTDs intent to award a contract to a company that can provide

SAMTD with a dynamic dash board used to extract data reports.

SAMTD currently uses TransDASH software as a service platform. This platform offers key elements that SAMTD procurement has not been able to locate another dash board that offers a national peer-peer comparison as well as customized SAMTD dashboard.

TransDASH offers ongoing monitoring, benchmarking, and reporting that SAMTD utilizes for reporting to our external stakeholders. The dash board must align outcomes with existing strategic plan measures, KPIs, and reporting cycles so the tool is embedded in regular management and communication practices.

The below requirements are key elements.

Key Dashboard Elements:

• Dashboard must use and customize SAMTD Data, validate measures, and ensure that reported metrics accurately represent SAMTD’s services and strategic priorities and the dash board must be capable of peer-to-peer data analysis.

• Must have dash board data from a minimum of 10 public transit agencies across the U.S.

• Staff Training no cost

• SaaS platform only

SAMTD Goal:

Continued execution of the TransDASH national and agency performance dashboards at SAMTD to provide a consistent, data driven platform for monitoring, communicating, and benchmarking transit outcomes across community, customer, and taxpayer value.
