About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought Synopsis issued by the Air Force Test Center (AFTC) at Edwards Air Force Base, California, for water tanker and pump repair services.

The 412 Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management Flight seeks contracted vendor services to replace the agent water tank assembly and associated components on Fire Department Water Tender registration number 11L00144. The vehicle was delivered with multiple leaks on the top of the tank and a noticeable sag in the center when fully loaded, causing the tank to rub against the body and damage the exterior integrity. The structural integrity of the agent tank has diminished over time and exceeds the repair capabilities of in-house vehicle management flight technicians. AFTC anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract under NAICS code 811310 with an estimated value of $12.5 million and Product Service Code J036. System for Award Management (Sam.gov) registration is mandatory. Interested vendors must submit capability statements detailing their experience on similar government or commercial contracts, business size (Large or Small), CAGE code/DUNS number, relevant contract history with program/project names and contract numbers, administering office addresses, and current points of contact with telephone numbers. Submissions must be in Microsoft Word or compatible format, no more than five double-spaced pages, non-proprietary, and unclassified. Responses are due by July 16, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. PST and should be emailed to Brian Wu, Contract Specialist, at brian.wu@us.af.mil with a copy to Rebecca Snyder, Contracting Officer, at Rebecca.snyder.1@us.af.mil. The government will not pay for submitted information and responses will contribute to the Market Research Report for acquisition strategy development.
