About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO)-16, in support of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC). The VA is seeking information to establish procurement sources for Watson Caring Services, including annual software maintenance service on government-owned nurse scheduling and acuity systems.
The RFI requests responses from interested contractors, both authorized distributors and small business manufacturers, who can provide the required products and services. Contractors are asked to provide information on their business size, existing GSA or VA contract vehicles, proof of authorized distributorship, and estimated pricing. The VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of small business manufacturers. The VA intends to use the responses to this RFI to determine the appropriate procurement strategy, such as a set-aside, sole source, or unrestricted competition. If no responses are received, the VA plans to sole source the requirement to the original manufacturer.
