San Dimas Facility Burglar and Fire Alarm, Video Surveillance Systems Assessment and Upgrade
Agency: United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office: Forest Service Location: National Technology & Development Program: San Dimas, CA
RFI Issue Date: April 04, 2024 Industry Day: April 18, 2024 RFI Response Date: May 09, 2024
Synopsis:
This Request for Information (RFI) is solely to gather information from qualified contractors regarding the assessment and upgrade of the burglar and fire alarm monitoring systems, as well as the video surveillance systems at the National Technology and Development Program (NTDP) facility. The RFI aims to identify potential contractors, understand their qualifications and experiences, and gather technical proposals to address the security and safety needs of the NTDP facility. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for contractors to provide input and recommendations on the project before formal proposals are requested.
As a result of this RFI, the Forest Service National Technology & Development Program (NTDP) may contact respondents for an invitation to an Industry Day. Interested contractors are invited to participate in an Industry Day where they can showcase their products and services for burglar, fire alarm, and video surveillance systems at the NTDP facility. This Industry Day will provide an opportunity for respondents to gain a firsthand understanding of the existing systems and site layout, as well as to interact with NTDP representatives. Vendors who do not receive an invitation to participate may show up without an invitation but, due to time constraints, are not guaranteed an opportunity to provide a technical demonstration. The Government will not pay for, nor reimburse, any expenses incurred in responding to this RFI or participating in the Industry Day, if invited.
Date: April 18, 2024 Time: 9:00 am PDT to 4:00 pm PDT Location: National Technology & Development Program, 444 E. Bonita Ave, San Dimas, CA 91773 RSVP to Kenneth Bailey at 626 422 7840 or email kenneth.bailey@usda.gov
The Forest Service reserves the right to cancel this request and change its requirements if needed and any material submitted becomes the property of the Forest Service and will not be returned. Responding to this RFI does not guarantee participation in any future activities. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude bid in the future government solicitation.
Background:
San Dimas NTDP is a secured federal facility dedicated to the development and testing of new technology for the Forest Service. With four main buildings established in 1964, the facility's current fire and burglar alarm and video surveillance systems include panels with analog and cellular communication and smartphone access, as well as a CCTV system based on IP technology.
