About this file
This Sources Sought (SS) document is a market research initiative by the General Services Administration (GSA) to identify potential sources for passenger buses in Okinawa. The solicitation seeks seven (7) new buses with specific requirements: 50-60 passenger capacity, 4X2 right-hand drive, diesel engine, minimum 10.75 meters long, and similar to the Fuso Aero Ace model. Detailed specifications include mandatory features such as three-point seat belts, a backup camera, fire extinguisher, minimum 100-liter fuel tank, and corrosion prevention treatments specific to Okinawa's harsh environmental conditions.
Responses are due by 10:00 AM EST on May 30, 2025, and must be submitted electronically to three GSA contacts. The document emphasizes that this is a market research effort only and does not constitute a commitment to procurement. The acquisition strategy is undetermined and may result in a full and open competition, small business set-aside, or sole source acquisition. Potential vendors must provide comprehensive information about their capabilities, including company details, system descriptions, technology readiness levels, and small business status. The GSA is specifically interested in understanding industry's current capabilities to meet the specialized bus requirements for the Okinawa market.

Please provide supporting rationale for the recommended percentage.
***It is imperative that responses clearly indicate which capabilities are available at or above the TRL specified above. ***
