About this file

This Sources Sought Notice is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Financial Services Center (FSC) seeking information from potential contractors for on-site American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services for deaf and hearing-impaired employees in Austin, TX. The nonpersonal services requirement includes interpreting between oral English and signed English/ASL in various workplace settings such as staff meetings, training sessions, performance discussions, interviews, and ceremonies, with interpreters required to have certification from recognized organizations.

Potential respondents must submit a cover sheet with company details, a capabilities statement, and market information addressing specific questions about their ability to provide services. Key requirements include state-qualified interpreters, compliance with subcontracting limitations for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), and familiarity with state certification requirements. Submissions must be emailed to specified VA contacts, and the notice emphasizes that this is a market research effort to inform future procurement, with no current solicitation or commitment to proceed with a contract.
