The Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau) is an agency of the Department of Justice (DOJ). It consists of 122 institutions throughout the United States, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico; 6 regional offices, a Central Office (headquarters), 2 staff training centers, and 24 Residential Reentry Management offices.

PURPOSE

This announcement is posted as a Request For Information (RFI) only for an intended upcoming solicitation that will be posted on the SAM.gov website. This RFI is being issued to determine whether or not there are qualified sources that will be able to meet the requirements of this intended upcoming solicitation. This RFI is for Residential Reentry Center (RRC) or Day Reporting Center (DRC) services to include Home Confinement (HC) placements for male and female offenders located within the Northern Minnesota Counties of Itasca, Beltrami, Saint Louis, Cass, and Aitkin.

The solicitation is anticipated to be for an IDIQ contract. There will be a guaranteed minimum and an estimated maximum number of placements, to include in-house and HC residents. It is anticipated that all services will be solicited under a single procurement and will require that the successful offeror provide all services.

The requirement is anticipated to be for an estimated maximum of up to 35 DRC placements, or 35 in-house RRC beds, and 15 HC placements. The geographical radius for DRC or HC placements is within 150 miles from the RRC or DRC facility. At this time, we can neither foresee nor predict any factors that would precipitate a change.

The Bureau would like input from providers of services in the community as to the feasibility of providing these services in this geographical area for RRC and HC or DRC.
