About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by Red River Army Depot (RRAD) for market research purposes to identify potential sources for FM 200 Fire Suppression Agent (Heptafluoropropane). The RFI is not a formal solicitation but indicates that a combined synopsis/solicitation is anticipated within 12 months of the response date. RRAD has a recurring requirement to procure FM 200 to support the maintenance and rebuilding of fire extinguishers at the depot. The required product must be Heptafluoropropane (DuPont FM-200 or technically equivalent) with a minimum purity of 99% 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-Heptafluoropropane (CAS #431-89-0). The agent must be supplied in 1,200 lb. cylinders with specifications including water capacity of 1,000 pounds, service pressure of 300 PSI, and dimensions of approximately 30 inches in diameter by 50 inches in height. All cylinders must include current valid pressure test certifications with a minimum of 12 months remaining upon delivery and must be accompanied by a Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

Interested vendors must submit responses electronically to the point of contact listed on SAM.gov no later than 9:00 AM CST, 7 days from RFI issuance, with the subject line "Response to RFI: FM 200." Responses are limited to 10 pages and should include company information (name, address, UEI number, CAGE code, and primary contact), business status and NAICS code 325120 classification, relevant experience within the last three years with past performance examples, technical approach confirming product specifications and cylinder condition, standard lead times, capability to manage cylinder logistics including pickup of empty cylinders, and estimated not-to-exceed pricing per pound and/or per 1,200 lb. cylinder for budgetary planning purposes only. Vendors must also confirm their ability to provide SDS documentation and valid pressure test certifications.
