PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to provide the manufacture of the C-5 Valve Assembly. The National Stock Numbers (NSN) and Part Numbers (PN) are as follows:
Item NSN PN Valve Assembly 4820-00-437-4802UC 93391-5
Description: This part is used on the outboard elevator assembly. The valve regulates the amount of hydraulic pressure that is used on the actuators to control the outboard elevator.
Purpose: The purpose of the Shutoff and Bypass Valve in the normal position is to permit flow of system fluid to a servo valve. In the shutoff position, it blocks inlet pressure and flow to the servo valve and interconnects each side of an actuator to system return.
