REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.

Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, Contracts Department

The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division requests information on commercially available blank data plates. Specifications for the different materials of interest are provided below. The NSWC Corona Division is issuing this RFI as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement. The Product and Services Code (PSC) is 9905 The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 561910.

Data plates are required to identify assets for inventory management, auditability, and property accountability. In order to support the large variety of assets and environments, an assortment of blank data plate sizes and materials are required to accommodate on-demand creation.

Requirement Description The Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division is hereby issuing a Request for Information (RFI) from all potential sources to provide information regarding a commercial, modified commercial, or non-commercial product/service solution(s) to the below specifications (dimensions given as length x width x depth):

1. Anodized aluminum data plate, finish: matte, color: black, rounded corners: 0.125”

a. 3M 9505 adhesive, 5.0 mil thickness

i. 1.5” x 0.75” x 0.032”

ii. 2” x 2” x 0.032”

iii. 3” x 2.25” x 0.032”

iv. 3.5” x 4.5” x 0.032”

v. 4” x 1.25” x 0.032”

b. Four holes, 0.125” diameter

i. 2” x 2” x 0.032”

ii. 3” x 2.25” x 0.032”

iii. 4” x 1.25” x 0.032”

c. 3M 9505 adhesive, 5.0 mil thickness and four holes: 0.125” diameter

i. 3” x 7” x 0.032”

d. 3M 9485 adhesive, 5.0 mil thickness

i. 1.5” x 0.5” x 0.005”, pre-cut on sheet

ii. 1.875” x 0.75” x 0.005”, pre-cut on sheet

iii. 2” x 0.50” x 0.005”, pre-cut on sheet

iv. 12” x 10” x 0.005”, rounded corners not required

2. Annealed anodized aluminum data plate, finish: matte, color: black; 3M 9505 adhesive,

5.0 mil thickness, rounded corners: 0.125”

a. 1.5” x 0.75” x 0.020”

b. 2” x 1.2” x 0.020”

Drawings of the described plates are provided in Attachment 1. Data plate material must be able to be laser engraved with a 50 watt CO2 laser and/or a 30 watt fiber pulse laser. Comparable adhesives are permitted, but must be identified.

Vendors are requested to provide the technical data sheet and specifications for the proposed plate material(s) and adhesive(s), brochures, literature and/or information on their supply/service.

Vendors are further required to provide the following information:

a.) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), email address, ALL applicable NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large), company's socioeconomics (i.e., woman-owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, HUBZone, 8(a), etc.) and DUNS Number.

b.) Current products that are capable of meeting or that can be modified to meet the requirements below.

c.) Typical delivery time frames d.) Rough-Order-Magnitude (ROM)/Cost Estimate (for budgetary purposes only) along with volume pricing details, if applicable (complete Attachment 2) e.) Typical capabilities included f.) Available options, if any, with pricing information g.) User(s) location and representative that agency may contact to discuss the product(s) h.) Any other information needed/provided from Customer
