About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (PMA-262/MQ-4C Program Office) seeking industry capability information regarding the manufacture of an Engine Inlet Bellmouth Housing, Male (Part Number: 4106AS0275). The component is a high-impact polyurethane molded part that functions as a subcomponent of the Engine Inlet Bellmouth Assembly used for organizational-level maintenance of the AE3007H Turbofan Engine on the Triton UA aircraft. The part allows engine operation above 45° throttle lever angle during ground operation while accommodating SATCOM Radome positioning that would otherwise obstruct engine inlet airflow and interfere with antenna systems.

Responses must be submitted in PDF format no later than November 1, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. EST via email to Michael Klavens (michael.j.klavens.civ@us.navy.mil) and Ahmed Abdalla (ahmed.f.abdalla.civ@us.navy.mil), limited to 10 pages with product specifications and sketches excluded from pagination. Section 1 must include administrative information: organization name, addresses, contact details, business classification (including small business status), and country of origin for main components. Section 2 must provide technical information: company experience with similar molded items, technical capabilities in design and manufacturing, and non-binding rough order of magnitude cost estimates for quantities of 1, 5-10, and 20 or more units. The Government explicitly states this RFI does not constitute a commitment to contract, will not compensate responders for costs, and respondents will not be notified of results. Failure to respond does not preclude future RFP participation. If a solicitation is issued, it will be posted on www.sam.gov.

BACKGROUND/PURPOSE/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) (PMA-262/MQ-4C Program Office) is soliciting information and comments from industry on its ability to manufacture the Engine Inlet

Bellmouth Housing (Part Number: 4106AS0275) in accordance with the Navy’s Technical Data

Package to include 3D CAD DATA FILE 3673310M01110-11 (available upon request from the contract specialist listed in this RFI). Should this requirement be procured and awarded, the

Navy will also provide the existing part mold to the awardee as Government Furnished

Equipment during the Period of Performance.

The Bellmouth Housing, Male, is a subcomponent of the Engine Inlet Bellmouth Assembly (Part

Number: 4106AS0169-1, NIN: 017056550). Engine Inlet Bellmouth Assembly is a piece of equipment used at the Organizational Level of maintenance to alter the characteristic of the

AE3007H Turbofan Engine Inlet to operate the engine above 45° throttle lever angle during ground operation. The solution attaches the Engine Inlet cowling to alter the Triton UA engine inlet airflow due to the position of the SATCOM Radome in front of the engine Inlet. This item allows the support equipment to clear the Band-A Antenna Mast and additional ADF Antenna in close proximity.

The Bellmouth Housing is the molded component on the front of the assembly, casted using high-impact polyurethane according to the specifications outlined in the technical data package to be provided.
