About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) document is issued by Granville Health System (GHS), a healthcare facility in North Carolina, to qualified automatic door manufacturers, distributors, and service providers. The RFI seeks equipment recommendations, installation requirements, and budgetary pricing data for the replacement of automatic entrance door systems at four hospital access points: the Main Front Entrance, Emergency Department Entrance, Loading Dock Entrance, and an optional EMS Entrance. The project scope involves replacing door assemblies, operators, sensors, and control systems within existing vestibule-style dual door configurations, except at the loading dock which contains a single automatic door. The RFI is for planning purposes only and will not result in an award based on responses. Vendors are required to conduct on-site visits with GHS representatives, with all site visits to be completed by December 25, 2025. The submission deadline for vendor responses is to be specified by GHS at a later date. Primary contact for coordination is Zeb Barnette, Project Manager, at zbarnette@granvillemedical.com or 336-504-0068, with Jonathan Pernell, Facilities Director, as secondary contact.
Vendor responses must include company information, recommended product lines with technical specifications, lead time expectations, installation considerations, service and maintenance offerings, preferred site visit dates, and separate pricing for the optional EMS entrance. Requested information encompasses high-traffic, continuous-duty rated sliding door systems; compliance with ANSI/BHMA A156.10, UL 325, and ADA standards; access control and security integration capabilities; installation requirements including electrical power needs and typical duration; preventive maintenance plans and warranty options; and budgetary information for equipment, installation, sensors, and control packages. The planned capital purchase is anticipated for the first or second quarter of 2026, with April 2026 noted as a target date in the related contract posting. The RFI does not specify funding amounts, sources, or pricing structures at this stage, as the primary objective is gathering vendor information to support the future procurement process.
