About this file
This is a Critical Operational Device Specification (CODS) document for a Sink Unit Scrub system, detailing required and desired specifications for the Department of the Army. The document outlines 11 critical operational specifications including FDA regulatory compliance requirements, water supply capabilities, temperature controls (100-145°F), self-contained design with tankless water heater, hands-free operation, weight restrictions (maximum 550 lbs with desired 300 lbs), and power supply requirements supporting both 110-120 VAC and 220-240 VAC.
The specifications also include logistical requirements such as repair parts support documentation, minimum 1-year warranty (desired 3 years), user/operator manual requirements, and Trade Agreements Act compliance. Additional desired performance parameters specify multiple hands-free dispensing mechanisms, collapsible design reassembled within 5 minutes without tools, manufacturer training requirements, and hardened transport case specifications meeting multiple MIL-STD testing requirements (including temperature, humidity, shock, and vibration testing). The vendor must provide service and installation training at 3 events for 5 people.
