RFI NUMBER:72061720R00010
SUBJECT:Request for Information for Anticipated PMI Uganda Malaria Control Activity
ISSUANCE DATE:April 29, 2020
RESPONSE DUE DATE:May 11, 2020 at 4:00 pm Washington, DC time
RESPOND TO:kampalausaidsolicita@usaid.gov

The United States Agency for International (USAID) Mission in Uganda, through The U.S. President's Malaria Initiative (PMI), is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) for the purposes of market research and also to seek input for a new malaria activity that is being contemplated to support the people of Uganda. The primary objective of this anticipated U.S. $38 million activity is to strengthen the capacity for malaria prevention and treatment, as well as ownership of health at the community and household levels, while maintaining gains made at the health facility level in focus districts. This activity will also seek to improve private sector engagement and surveillance and strengthen the existing linkages between community health services/community-level leadership and facilities/District Health Teams to increase the ability to prevent, detect, and treat malaria in households.

As the USAID/Uganda Mission continues its discussion with regards to how to address the objective of this activity, there are certain questions to which we seek additional information from interested parties. Those questions are included in Attachment 1. Please complete the attachment and return to the e-mail address above with the RFI number in the subject line of the e-mail. Answers are intended to be brief. Please keep the return response to no more than two pages.

This RFI is issued solely for information gathering and planning purposes. This RFI does NOT represent any commitment to issue a solicitation nor does it obligate the United States Government (USG) to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of any response to the RFI questions. Information received as part of this RFI shall become the property of the USG. Therefore, proprietary information that cannot be shared should not be sent. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.
