About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) for the procurement of Therapeutic Rental Virtual Reality Headsets. The RFI seeks to identify potential sources, which will aid in determining the procurement strategy, such as set-aside, sole source, or unrestricted, for a future solicitation.
The RFI provides details on the specific item required, including the description, part number, and quantity. It requests responses from interested contractors, including those with existing GSA or VA Federal Supply Schedule contracts, as well as manufacturers of potentially equivalent products. Distributors must provide proof of authorization. The VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of small business manufacturers. Vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing with their responses, which will be considered in determining the procurement strategy. If no responses are received, the action will be sole sourced to the manufacturer cited in the RFI. Responses to this RFI are due by August 2, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.
