About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Board of Education of Wicomico County for an Early Childhood and Adolescent Supports and Services Program. The program seeks to engage with an entity that can deliver intensive mental and behavioral health services and supports to students in grades PreK through 8 who may be exhibiting worsening mental and emotional wellness, increasing behavioral problems in the school settings, and increasing need for more intensive services. The program would include therapeutic services, day and/or residential program supports, and behavioral supports for students exhibiting high range mental and behavioral health concerns. The RFI submission deadline is September 26, 2024, and a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be released on October 22, 2024. The contract is anticipated to be awarded on January 10, 2025, with Board approval on February 11, 2025, and contract execution by February 15, 2025.
The RFI requests information on the proposers' approach and methodology, background and experience, and references to demonstrate their qualifications to run the program. The program requirements include an intensive psychiatric day treatment program, utilization of evidence-based treatments, and the provision of group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and daily instruction aligned with Maryland content standards. The program should support the transition of students back to the school and community setting.
