About this file

This document is an Addendum No. 1 to Request for Bid (RFB) No. 24-0019 issued by the Finance Department Purchasing Division of the Columbus Consolidated Government in Columbus, Georgia for Touch Screen Information Kiosks for METRA. The addendum provides responses to three questions from vendors regarding kiosk dimensions, screen depth, and approved alternative media players. The addendum clarifies that vendors may propose kiosks with alternate dimensions as long as the overall size does not obstruct access, and that the depth specification refers to the screen thickness only, not the total kiosk depth. METRA does not have a pre-approved list of media players, and vendors may propose alternatives of equal or greater quality and performance.

The addendum does not provide additional details on the pricing, set-asides, funding sources, or other salient information beyond the responses to the vendor questions. Vendors are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their bid submission, or their response may be deemed non-responsive.

ADDENDUM No. 1

TOUCH SCREEN INFORMATION KIOSKS FOR METRA (RE-BID)

RFB No. 24-0019

Use the form provided in the solicitation to acknowledge receipt of this addendum. Failure to do so may result in your submittal being deemed non-responsive and not receiving further consideration for award.

Vendors are informed that the above subject solicitation is hereby modified, corrected, or supplemented as specified, described and set forth in this Addendum:

I. QUESTION(S)/RESPONSE(S)

Question 1: What are suitable dimensions for an outdoor kiosk that can house a display module with specified dimensions of at least 48”H x 28”W x 0.5”D, and up to 50”H x 30”W x 0.8” D, considering that the requirement does not specify overall kiosk dimensions?

Response: Vendors may propose kiosks with alternate dimensions as long as the overall size of the kiosk does not create an obstruction that would block access for individuals walking or using mobility devices in the areas depicted. The approximate total space available is 7’L x 7’W for the outdoor location and 5’L x 3’W for the indoor location.

Question 2: Just to clarify – 0.5” to 0.8” depth is unrealistic for a kiosk (especially outdoor) unless this is just the screen thickness.

Response: The depth specified is in reference to screen thickness. Regarding the total dimensions of the kiosk, please refer to response to Question 1 above for more information.

Question 3: What are the approved alternative players to the XT244 4K POE which is a

Brightsign players, for use in outdoor kiosks? We typically recommend Intel NUCs.

Response: METRA does not have a preapproved list of players. Vendors may propose alternatives of equal or greater quality and/or performance. When proposing
