4. New! Attachment B, Bid Proposal Price Sheet, is replaced with new Bid Proposal Price Sheet attached to this addendum ( Submit this form with your proposal).
Below are the questions received from the First Addendum posted November 19, 2025 and the City’s response:
Q.1. We are working on building a quote out for this bid opportunity and were curious if there was a specific reason for the continuous PTO or not.
A. The continuous PTO is for the spreader. The PTO must run when the salter is being used.
There should be a cut of 30 or 40 miles an hour to turn it off. This should be programming in the transmission. The PTO is turned on by a switch in the cab (should be through the force America system) and when the salter is not used it can be turned off.
One Ton Dump Truck Page 11
Q.2. Section 2.7D requires the successful bidder to hold their price firm for the first 365 days of the resultant contract. It also offers the process for price adjustments.
Section 6.6 requires that all bids remain binding for 180 days following the submission deadline. Do these sections together require a vendor to hold their price for 545 days with the 180(+)-day allowance for review and contracting and a 365-day allowance for purchase on the contract (with allowance for price adjustment following the execution of a contract)? Can you clarify if bid prices are required to be held through both windows and if allowances can be applied to the bid cumulatively?
A. Please see the amended language for 2.7. The pricing shall remain firm for the resultant contract until delivery of equipment.
