About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron's R-11 Tank Sump Replacement, dated 25 Mar 25. The SOW requires a contractor to replace the tank sump on registration number 08L00022, which involves comprehensive technical specifications for tank handling and modification. Key requirements include performing internal tank atmosphere testing, disconnecting electrical and pneumatic connections, removing the tank using a specialized 6,000-gallon tank rotisserie fixture, fabricating a new sump assembly with specified aluminum alloy and dimensions, welding according to design standards, and repainting the affected area.

The scope of work mandates adherence to DOT 406 specifications and the original tank manufacturer's design requirements. Transportation logistics are handled by the government, which will transport the R-11 tank to the contractor's facility within a 400-mile radius of Shaw Air Force Base and return it after completion. The contractor must make the vehicle available for government inspection upon project completion. No government-furnished property, specific hours of operation, or security requirements are specified in this SOW.
