About this file

This is Amendment 3-B to a Request for Interior Renovations at 7191 Warden Court for New River Valley Community Services (NRVCS) in Blacksburg, VA, detailing restroom fixture specifications. The amendment outlines requirements for ADA-compliant grab bars, including installation of 17 24-inch bars, 3 42-inch bars, and 4 48-inch bars across multiple restrooms and showers. Other specifications include the removal and reinstallation of four high-polish stainless steel mirrors in full restrooms, installation of one new 16x20 tempered glass mirror in a half restroom, and installation of four 18-inch basic towel bars matching new plumbing fixtures.

The amendment clarifies contractor versus owner responsibilities, with the contractor responsible for providing and installing all grab bars, blocking, and specified fixtures. The owner will provide and install toilet paper, paper towel, and soap dispensers after project completion, though the contractor must provide blocking for these items. Similarly, shower enclosures will be provided and installed by the owner, with the contractor only responsible for providing blocking for screw-mounted shower curtains. All installation heights and exact locations will be determined by the owner during renovations.
