About this file
This is an invitation flyer from the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) announcing a community listening session regarding the upcoming reprocurement of Respite, Peer Respite, and Respite Master Agreement Services. The DMH intends to issue a Request for Response in November 2026 for these three service categories, with the following COMMBUYS reference numbers: Respite Services (2028-DMH-3048-01, BD-27-1022-DMH08-8220A-132190), Peer Respite Services (2028-DMH-3048-02, BD-27-1022-DMH08-8220A-132193), and Respite Master Agreement Services (2028-DMH-3048-03, BD-27-1022-DMH08-8220A-132197). The online listening session is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm via Zoom, and participation is open to current providers and other interested parties. Attendance requires prior registration by email to Michael.Stepansky@mass.gov with the names of attendees and provider organization information.
The listening session will focus on gathering stakeholder input regarding existing services, contract improvements, potential changes to the future service model, and barriers to entry for individuals who may benefit from services. Key discussion topics include the DMH Respite Models (Blended Model and Peer Model), staffing, service components, the Master Agreement structure, and outcomes. ASL interpreters have been arranged for accessibility. This forum represents a pre-procurement engagement opportunity designed to inform the development of the Request for Response prior to its November 2026 issuance. No pricing terms, set-asides, or funding amounts are specified in this invitation document.
