Statement of Work National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

NOAA Fisheries Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC)

Fisheries Ecology Division (FED) Santa Cruz Laboratory Facility Repairs

I. Background

The Santa Cruz Laboratory (SCL) is a fisheries research facility of the NOAA Fisheries. The SCL site is approximately 1,000 feet from the coastal surf zone, which is considered harsh environment for building structures and their systems. The facility is a two-story, 56,000 square foot building which serves approximately 150 researchers and support staff. Their work consists of laboratory and experimental research that is designed to manage and conserve marine fisheries resources including marine, coastal, and estuarine habitats. Activities associated with this effort include conferences, meetings, chemical and biological experiments, aquarium “wet” studies, videotape studies, and computer-based modeling and statistical studies.

II. Scope of Work

The Southwest Fisheries Science Center, Santa Cruz Laboratory requires compressed air system improvements, plumbing repairs, HVAC repairs, walk-in freezer improvements, lighting repairs, and a fresh-water chiller replacement to improve the safety and efficiency of the Santa Cruz Laboratory. The contractor shall furnish, install and confirm through testing all repairs and work is complete and systems are working properly. Services shall be complete in all respects and include labor, tools, materials, equipment. Subcontracts, and all support engineering and engineering plan drawings including any and all work required for this scope of work.

III. Awarding of Contract

The Government reserves the right to award the contract from this solicitation to either one (1), two (2), or more vendors. Each Task listed below is its own project in Santa Cruz (SC), CA.
