As many weapons pla orms within the Department of Defense moved from ODS to HFCs, the need has arisen to ensure a sustainable supply of these Mission Cri cal compressed gasses is available. Projected need extends beyond the year 2060. To that end, The Defense Logis cs Agency (DLA) will ini ate a large acquisi on of two (2) mission cri cal virgin HFC compressed gasses, determined by the Services to be the most cri cal at this me; Heptafluropropane (HFC-227ea) and Hexafluoropropane (HFC-R236fa). These two items will be placed in a sta c storage at DLA, Richmond, Virginia un l such me as they are needed.
