TITLE: Procurement of a Chilled-Water Cooling System Heat Exchanger high temperature vacuum furnace
I. SPECIFICATIONS
The contractor shall deliver one (1) chilled-water-cooled circulating water system heat exchanger that meets or exceeds the following requirements:
• The chilled-water-cooled circulating water system shall be a closed-loop system.
• The dimensions of the circulating water system shall be equal or smaller than 1.25 m x 1.25 m x 1.75 m
(4 ft x 4 ft x 5.7 ft).
• The heat removal capacity shall be equal to or larger than 300,000 BTU/h between 15 ºC and 27 ºC (59
ºF and 80 ºF).
• The temperature of the supply water (from the circulating water system to the instrument) shall be able to control and monitor.
• The maximum flow rate of supply water shall be equal or higher than 95 L/m (25 gpm).
• The maximum pressure of supply water shall not exceed 3.4 bar (50 psi).
• The flow rate of supply water shall be able to adjust automatically between 30 L/m (8 gpm) and 95 L/m
(25 gpm) depending on the needed flow rate of the instrument.
• The circulating water system shall include an emergency backup pump in case of an electric power outage.
• The backup pump system shall be engaged automatically to provide uninterrupted water circulation.
• The flow rate of the backup pump system shall be at least 35 L/m (10 gpm) at 1.7 bar (25 psi).
• The size of the water reservoir shall be equal or larger than 75 Liters (20 gal).
• The water reservoir shall include a lid and drain.
• The water reservoir shall be made of stainless steel.
• The water level of the reservoir shall be able to monitor remotely.
• The circulating water system shall have an audible alarm to notify the circulating water system failures.
• The circulating water system shall have an Emergency Stop switch.
• All electrical components shall be NEMA standard configuration type.
