STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS

Hammer Mill for E-waste

I. SPECIFICATIONS

The Contractor shall provide one (1) Hammer Mill that meets the following minimum technical requirements:

II. System Requirements

• The Hammer Mill shall be used for downsizing electronic scrap (e.g. printed circuit boards, metal fragments, plastics, etc).

• The Hammer Mill must have at least a 1.5 kW drive capable of fixed speed of 3,500 rotations per minute at 60

Hz power.

• The Hammer Mill must be capable of taking at least 100 mm sized pieces of electronic scrap and be able to mill them down to pass through 2 – 20 mm sieves.

• The Hammer Mill must include one (1) each of a 2.00 mm, 4 mm, and 10 mm round hole sieves.

• The Hammer Mill must be on its own support structure that can be placed on the floor in a 3rd floor lab space without requiring mounting the support into the floor, wall, or ceiling.

• The Hammer Mill must include a hopper.

• The Hammer Mill must contain a collection unit.

• Manual in either electronic or paper copy.

Software

The Hammer Mill shall have a control unit that enables startup and shutdown.

III. WARRANTY

The Contractor shall provide, at a minimum, a one (1)- year warranty for the Hammer Mill. The warranty shall cover all parts, labor, and travel. Warranty will commence upon Government acceptance.

IV. DELIVERY

Delivery shall be to NIST Gaithersburg MD Building #221 during normal business hours of 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays and shall occur within 150 days of award.

VI. ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

The NIST Subject Matter Expert will inspect and assure all specifications are met for acceptance.

Vehicle Registration: US freight carriers shall comply with all specific requirements for delivery vehicles.
