About this file

This is an insurance requirements document for the Flagler County Department of Health and Human Services in Florida related to substance abuse treatment services contracting. The document specifies mandatory insurance coverage that contractors must maintain throughout the performance of services, including Worker's Compensation with statutory limits at the work location, Commercial General Liability with a $2,000,000 general aggregate limit, Automobile Liability with $1,000,000 combined single limit coverage, and Professional Liability insurance with $1,000,000 per claim and annual aggregate limits where applicable. All insurance carriers must maintain a minimum financial rating of A- or better, and the contractor bears all costs associated with obtaining and maintaining the required coverage at levels satisfactory to the County.

The substance abuse treatment services opportunity itself represents a one-time funding award between $10,000 and $35,000 from the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Trust, which is generated from court fees under Florida Statutes Sections 938.13 and 893.165. Flagler County is soliciting proposals from local and regional non-profit organizations with experience in substance use prevention, substance abuse treatment, or related services. Notably, agencies not currently funded by Flagler County Health and Human Services are eligible to apply, and a subsequent one-year renewal may be executed if additional funds become available, though this is not guaranteed at the time of the initial award.
