About this file

These are bid documents for Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 2025/26-01, issued by Curry County, New Mexico, for Chip Seal and Overlay of Roads for the Curry County Road Department. The solicitation covers road maintenance services involving chip seal and overlay work across county-wide locations, with bidders required to submit electronic sealed bids through BidNet by July 28, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. The bid includes two separate bid forms: Bid Form 1 for Chip Seal and Bid Form 2 for Overlay, each covering 1-mile sections (5280 feet) by 24 feet wide, utilizing 260 tons of rock per mile. Bidders can quote prices for various rock and emulsion combinations, including options for county-supplied or contractor-supplied materials.

The bid documents include specific technical requirements for emulsion application rates, such as 0.45 gallons per square yard for ¾" fractured aggregate with AEP or PEP, and 0.40 gallons per square yard for ½" fractured aggregate with HFE90 or HFE100P. Additional forms require bidders to complete a Campaign Contribution Disclosure Form and a Resident/Veterans Preference Certification Form, which allows for potential preference discounts for New Mexico resident businesses, resident veterans, and Native American-owned companies. The county reserves the right to award separate contracts to the lowest bidders for each bid form, providing flexibility in the procurement process.
