STATEMENT OF NEED
Project Title
Order of the Synthesis of 11 Compounds for Research Supporting The Project: Development of proteolysis targeting chimera’s (PROTACs) for dual leucine zipper kinase (DLK). PI: John Brognard
Background Information/Purpose and Objectives
From time to time the Chemistry and Synthesis Center (CSC) enlists the help of outside vendors for the synthesis of specialty compounds in an effort to save research cost and resources. These specialty compounds often require complicated synthesis pathways which very few vendors can perform. Over the years the CSC has found certain vendors who have proven reliable in terms of capability, quality, cost and lead time.
Carolyn Hitko, a CSC chemist, is currently conducting research in support of the project: Development of proteolysis targeting chimera’s (PROTACs) for dual leucine zipper kinase (DLK), PI: John Brognard. This project includes sixteen compounds to be synthesized. To save time and resources, the CSC needs the help of an outside vendor to synthesize 11 of these compounds.
