About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the replacement of 300 feet of asphalt on a one-lane road at Lake Alma State Park in Wellston, Ohio. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is seeking quotes from contractors to mill the existing 2-inch deep asphalt, remove the grindings, clean the area, install tack, and lay 2 inches of new #448 asphalt surface material. The work must be completed prior to June 2024, and contractors are encouraged to schedule a site visit with the point of contact, Jamie Phillips, before submitting a bid. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and the award will be based on the low lot total, which is calculated by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage and summing the totals.

This opportunity is set aside for Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 125.081. Invoices must be submitted directly to Ohio Shared Services, and the awarded supplier will be required to sign an Addendum to Bid Quote. There is no mention of an incumbent contractor or specific funding sources, but the work must comply with all relevant local, federal, and environmental regulations.
