The RFQ includes detailed insurance requirements, with specific coverage mandates for Workers Compensation Insurance, Commercial General Liability, and Automobile Liability. The county has implemented a Supplier Inclusion Program that encourages participation from small businesses, local vendors, veteran-owned businesses, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), and female-owned businesses. Additionally, there is a Local Vendor Privilege policy that provides preference to local vendors whose bids are within 5% of the lowest out-of-county bid, subject to certain eligibility requirements such as maintaining a business within Henry County, having a current Occupational Tax Certificate, and having paid all county taxes. The policy does not apply to bids exceeding $100,000.
