About this file

This Request for Information (RFI) is seeking potential sources to provide sustainment and support for the U-2 Senior Year Electro-Optical Reconnaissance System (SYERS) 2-C installed on Air Force U-2 aircraft. The government requires a contractor to perform depot-level repair and full depot sustainment support for all SYERS 2-C unique hardware and software components, with minimal government assistance. Key responsibilities include functioning as a Contractor-Inventory Control Point (C-ICP), providing total material management, establishing asset visibility, storing serviceable components, and maintaining technical reach back communication lines.

Potential contractors must demonstrate capabilities in repairing U-2 SYERS 2-C components, managing inventory, addressing parts obsolescence, and providing engineering services. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is Goodrich Corporation. Responses to the Capability Survey (Part I and Part II) are due by 5:00 PM EST on 16 July 2025 and must be submitted electronically to specified contracting personnel. The RFI emphasizes that participation in this market research does not guarantee future solicitation or contract awards, and the government will not reimburse response preparation expenses.
