About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the City and County of Broomfield for a Regional Bikeshare Program, involving multiple jurisdictions including Broomfield, Longmont, Superior, Louisville, Lafayette, Erie, Westminster, and Boulder County, with potential connection to Boulder's existing bikeshare system. The RFI seeks information from qualified vendors experienced in deploying and operating docked electric bikeshare systems, with a goal of establishing a cross-jurisdictional system that allows for unified branding, coordinated operations, and improved first- and final-mile transit access. The solicitation was posted on August 13, 2025, with questions due by August 19, 2025, and the final submission deadline set for August 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM Mountain Time.

The RFI is primarily an information-gathering exercise and does not constitute a commitment to award a contract. Vendors are requested to provide detailed information on system capabilities, including e-bike hardware specifications, station infrastructure, charging methods, fleet management, technology platforms, payment integration, data management, equity strategies, deployment considerations, and potential cost and funding models. The City emphasizes a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, seeking to provide equitable opportunities for historically marginalized businesses and ensure accessibility across different communities. No formal price quotes are requested at this stage, but vendors are asked to share insights into their pricing approaches, trip pricing factors, and experience with partnership funding or grant models.
