Request for Information

DESCRIPTION OF INTENT:

The Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to solicit for the M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle Barreled Action. The Government has obtained the Government Purposes Rights (GPR) to the technical data and is looking for future procurement opportunities.

DESCRIPTION OF HARDWARE:

The M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle is a bolt-action, magazine-fed weapon system that utilizes .300 WinMag ammunition. The rifle is built around a rechambered M24 Sniper Weapon System receiver. The M2010 is equipped with a fully adjustable, right-folding chassis system featuring accessory cable routing channels and Military-Standard 1913 Picatinny rails that mount a Leupold 6.5-20 x 50 mm variable power Day Optic Scope with advanced scalable H-58 ranging and targeting reticle. The M2010 is also equipped with a sound suppressor and adjustable bipod. The shooter interface can be tailored to accommodate a wide range of shooter preferences and its folding stock provides Soldiers flexibility in transporting the weapon during operations.

The Government is looking for interested sources able to produce and provide costs to the M2010 Barreled Action. In addition the Government is looking for interested sources.

RESPONSE REQUIREMENTS:

Interested sources shall review all associated information, and provide the capabilities and costs associated with producing the M2010 barreled action. Please submit the market research response via SAM.Gov by the required closing date. Email responses will be accepted.

Interested sources must be registered in SAM.Gov and are invited to submit a capability statement including, at minimum, all the following information:

2. What experience does your company have making Long Range barreled systems?

3. Is your company able to apply the Ferritic Nitrocarburizing or (FNC) coat and or have a vendor that they can sub out to have the FNC coating put on the Barrel?
