About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought notice from the 375th Contracting Squadron at Scott AFB, Illinois. The RFI is seeking information and capability statements for the procurement of 1,000 mechanical, keyless gun locks, as well as the development of an interactive app and program management services to support the distribution and usage of the gun locks.
The gun locks must meet specific requirements, including being portable, tamper-resistant, and allowing for a loaded magazine while prohibiting a round in the chamber. The accompanying app must provide arguments in favor of safe firearm storage, obtain anonymous feedback on lock usage, and provide mental health resources. Vendors are also required to provide a video tutorial on the proper use of the gun locks. Responses to the RFI are due by 4:30 pm CDT on September 12th, 2024. This is an information-gathering exercise, and no contract award will result from the RFI responses.
