About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of a Myra automated liquid handling system for molecular biology workflows. The system must have seven key specifications: (1) an integrated camera with advanced algorithms for real-time monitoring, (2) high-precision pipetting capable of handling 1-50 µL volumes with less than 2% deviation at 2 µL, (3) pressure-based liquid level sensing, (4) automated calibration features, (5) a compact footprint not exceeding 35 cm x 46 cm x 31 cm and weighing less than 10 kg, (6) contamination control features including a closed pipette tip waste container, UV LED lights, and a HEPA filter, and (7) versatile application support for processes like qPCR setup, NGS library preparation, normalization, and serial dilutions. The system aims to enhance laboratory efficiency by reducing manual labor and minimizing potential errors in molecular biology tasks.

SOW for an Myra Automated Liquid Handling System

Overview:

We are requesting purchase an Myra automated liquid handling system to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of its molecular biology workflows. This system is essential for automating tasks such as qPCR setup, NGS library preparation, and other high-throughput applications, thereby reducing manual labor and minimizing potential errors.

Specification:

1. Integrated Visual Monitoring: The system should include an integrated camera coupled with advanced algorithms to enable real-time monitoring and verification of liquid handling tasks, ensuring precision and reducing setup errors.

2. High Precision and Accuracy: Equipped with a high-precision pipetting mechanism, the system must deliver accurate liquid handling across a range of volumes (1–50 µL), with deviations of less than 2% at 2 µL volumes, ensuring reliability in sensitive assays.

3. Pressure-Based Liquid Level Sensing: Incorporation of pressure-based liquid level sensing is necessary to monitor the aspiration and dispensing processes, promptly detecting and alerting users to any errors.

4. User-Friendly Calibration: The system should offer automated calibration features, allowing users to perform calibrations with minimal manual intervention, thereby streamlining workflow setup.

5. Compact Footprint: Considering laboratory space constraints, the system’s dimensions should not exceed approximately 35 cm (width) x 46 cm (depth) x 31 cm (height), and it should weigh less than 10 kg, facilitating easy integration into existing workspaces.

6. Contamination Control Features: To maintain sample integrity, the system must include a closed pipette tip waste container, UV LED lights, and a compact HEPA filter, effectively minimizing contamination risks.

7. Versatile Application Support: The system should be capable of automating a wide range of laboratory processes, including but not limited to qPCR setup, NGS library preparation, normalization, and serial dilutions, thereby enhancing laboratory productivity.
