Questions & Answers
1. How many companies attended the site visit/pre-proposal conference and what were their names?
Answer: No company representatives showed up at the site visit/pre-proposal conference.
2. I noticed the sales dropped each year since 2006?
Why?
Answer: The significant drop in sales between 2006 and 2007 was related to the restrictions on base access that was imposed by previous leadership. Our leagues dropped from 17 during winter leagues to 9 a loss of about 600 bowlers each week. Since the restrictions have been eliminated we increased winter leagues this season to 15 and anticipate more leagues next winter season
3. Has the bowling alley sales dropped as well or has the number of customers dropped?
Answer: Food Sales and Center Sales go hand in hand and depend highly on league play which is reflected in the summer month’s sales. Summer leagues are not as plentiful as winter leagues so sales are less.
4. How many employees were working during the week on the breakfast shift? Lunch? Dinner? The same questions apply for the Saturday.
Answer: Currently we offer no breakfast and the food operation does not open until 11am. Regardless of lunch or dinner shift the most staff at one time does not exceed three (2 cooks & cashier) but most time it is a cook and cashier slower times one person that doubles cashier and cook duties.
Keep in mind the potential for growth here, it is the reason we are stipulating a variety of oriental cuisine to go along with standard snack bar menu. We want to offer the base something that is not currently offered here at Andrews on a regular basis.
