STEAM GENERATORS PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
1.0 BACKGROUND
The biological laboratories in the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Concepts and Experimentation Branch, B64, require preventative maintenance of the steam generators (boilers). The autoclaves rely upon the boilers to provide steam to function properly and sterilize critical laboratory equipment and media. The reliability of the boilers is critical to maintain safe laboratory procedures and to ensure complete sterilization of potentially hazardous biological waste prior to disposal outside of the facility. The NSWCDD B64 owns two Steam Generator towers, composed of two boilers per tower.

| 3.0 | REQUIREMENTS |
3.1 The Contractor shall provide Preventative Maintenance as follows:
| 3.1.1 | The Contractor shall provide one (1) preventative maintenance on-site inspection per boiler in accordance with (IAW) OEM specifications. Each boiler, four (4) total, will receive one preventative maintenance service per year. |
| 3.1.2 | The Contractor shall rotate the services such that only two (2) boilers are serviced in the first 6 months of the period of performance (PoP), and the remaining two (2) are serviced in the second half of the POP. |
| 3.1.3 | The Contractor shall schedule the visits with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) identified in section 6.0 at least 10 working days in advanced. |
| 3.1.4 | The Contractor shall schedule the visits IAW the manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules. |
| 3.2 | The Contractor shall provide replacement parts one (1) time in the base PoP. |
| 3.2.1 | The Contractor shall provide the replacement parts noted in the attached materials list for the boilers which includes four (4) each of the following: safety valve, contactor, valve complete, sight glass with gasket, and level control board. |
| 3.2.2 | The Contractor shall replace the listed parts IAW the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule. |
NOTE: Replacement parts are the responsibility of NSWCDD B64.
| 3.2.3 | The Contractor shall not bring additional parts for maintenance. |
| 3.3 | The Contractor shall provide pricing for two (2) additional 12-month period of preventative maintenance to follow the base period of support. |
NOTE: No additional materials will be required for the optional periods of support.
*The Contractor shall not perform any services outside of the preventative maintenance under contract during the active period of performance. If any additional repairs are identified during the preventative maintenance, the Contractor shall submit a quote to the TPOC and Contracting Officer for approval and subsequent contract modification prior to completing any additional repairs outside of the OEM recommended maintenance.
**The Government reserves the right to modify this contract at a later date to cover additional services/components identified during the preventative maintenance services.
| 4.0 | SECURITY |
| 4.1 | The work to be performed under this contract is unclassified. However, the steam generators are located in an Open Storage Secret (OSS) Secure building. |
| 4.2 | Contractors shall not bring personal electronic devices (PEDs), including computers, into the spaces. |
| 4.2.1 | If electronics are required for maintenance, the contractor shall work with the TPOC to arrange bringing such equipment into the OSS Secure space. |
| 4.2.2 | The contractor at a minimum shall be required to allow IT Security to turn off camera and WiFi access. |
| 5.0 | TRAVEL |
The contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and shall be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR). The following travel is anticipated: one (1) person, two (2) times annually to travel to Dahlgren, VA.
