About this file

This document contains a justification for limiting sources on a federal contract opportunity. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 16, Michael E DeBakey Medical Center is requesting 18 SC50 Autonomous Nilfisk Robotic UV Robots Scrubbers for their housekeeping department. Due to manpower shortages exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Medical Center requires robotic scrubbers that can clean areas without continuous human operation in order to reduce employee exposure. The justification cites FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B) for limiting sources, as the scrubbers are unique and highly specialized. The scrubbers must be delivered within 30-45 days of award.
