About this file

This document contains a sole source justification and description of a federal contract opportunity for the procurement of air conditioning and heating units. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command requires ten diesel-electric air conditioning and heating units manufactured by TDL America to maintain current equipment compatibility. The justification cites use of the units' interchangeable parts and operator familiarity as reasons for restricting competition. The pre-solicitation notice provides specifications for the trailer-mounted units and indicates plans to use simplified acquisition procedures for a firm-fixed price contract with a 30-day period of performance. Interested parties should identify their capabilities to the contracting specialist and officer by the unspecified response date.
