About this file
This document is a Brand Name Justification for the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southwest Regional Office. The Office of Justice Services (OJS), District IV, Ute Mountain Ute (UMU) Agency has a requirement for specific Hornady brand 9MM+P CCRIT Duty ammunition and 5.56 NATO 62 GR Tap Barrier ammunition, with an anticipated total cost, including shipping, of an unspecified amount. The justification cites FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and 41 U.S.C. 1901 as the statutory authority for other than full and open competition, as the Hornady ammunition is currently utilized by UMU Agency officers and required per OJS policy. Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) will be able to competitively quote these supplies, and a competitive combined synopsis/solicitation will be posted to the Government Point of Entry (GPE).
