All items must be bar coded and marked with National Stock Number 6230-01-581-7103, item name, part number, and "Coast Guard SFLC Material, Condition 'A'". Warranty coverage includes a Standard Manufacturer's Warranty. Government acceptance will occur at destination with verification of no transit damage, order correctness and completeness, and contractor conformance to preservation and packing requirements. OVERHAUL DESCRIPTION

OVERHAUL REQUIREMENTS:
REPAIR DESCRIPTION

1. SCOPE
1.1. This description initiates the inspection and repair of the item described above for USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center stock replenishment.
The assembly as received by the contractor must be complete and of the proper cited part number. Report discrepancies to the Coast Guard Contracting Officer.

Includes a Control Station, Power Supply, Base Assy, Focus Assy, Starter Assy, Azimuth Indicator.
2. OVERHAUL DESCRIPTION
2.1. The Searchlight shall be overhauled to a condition which shall restore the operating and performance characteristics to the Carlisle & Finch Company original design and technical specifications. An overhaul is intended to restore the searchlight to a condition that is equivalent to that of a new searchlight. The searchlight shall be restored to a like new condition. The searchlight shall be relamped, cleaned and lubricated in accordance with Carlisle & Finch maintenance procedures. The searchlight exterior should be refurbished as well as the interior components. Lubricate all bearings,sliding surfaces, o-rings and lube points at time of assembly.
After Contracting Officer approval of the receipt inspection report, the contractor shall submit a Open Inspect Report that provides a complete inspection report outlining the condition of all parts and detailed repair costs including preservation packing and marking. No further work shall take place until authorization from the Contracting Officer. All work shall be performed in accordance with Carlisle and Finch specifications and standards.
After completion of the overhaul, the contractor shall perform standard production tests to assure maximum design performance. The contractor shall provide certifications of successful production tests. One certification shall be placed in the box with each unit, and a copy for each unit shall be forwarded to the Coast Guard Contracting Officer.
3. WARRANTY
3.1 A. Standard Manufacturers Warranty
3.2. B. Item being repaired as an "Onboard Repair Part" or a "System Stock" item, and will be put into inventory. NOT FOR IMMEDIATE INSTALLATION.
Contractor must guarantee item against defects that lead to failure for 90 days after installation for a period of up to 1 year after delivery to the Coast Guard.
4. GOVERNMENT ACCEPTANCE
4.1. Acceptance will be made at destination by a government representative.
Acceptance will be contingent upon representative's verification of no damage in transit, correctness and completeness of order, and contractors conformance to preservation, packing and marking requirements.
PRESERVATION, PACKING, AND MARKING FOR SHIPMENT
4.2. PRESERVATION: Each Searchlight that makes up one each of any contract line item (CLIN), shall be preserved for a period of One (1) year minimum in accordance with MIL-STD 2073-1E.
4.3. PACKING: Each preserved Searchlight shall be packed individually in a l/2" plywood enclosed skidded wood box, which shall be capable of providing adequate protection to the unit during multiple common carrier shipments in accordance with ASTM-D-3951. Each searchlight component assembly, if packed separately, shall constitute a unit pack. This unit pack shall meet the requirements of a shipping container.
4. 4.UNITIZATION: Unit packs can be unitized as specified in MIL-STD 2073-1E.
4.5. MARKING: Marking shall be required as herein and not as specified in MIL-STD 2073-1E. Each preserved and packed Unit Pack (CLIN) shall be marked in the upper left hand portion of each box on the two longest sides (opposite sides if square) of each box in legible black block print lettering with the following information. A typed label is also acceptable:
