About this file
This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Town of Holliston Facilities Department for the Pinecrest Golf Club - Range Netting Replacement project. The Town is seeking bids from responsible and responsive contractors to remove old netting and install new netting at the golf club's driving range. The existing 600-foot long by 75-foot high netting, comprised of 3 sections with 13 wooden poles, has degraded over the 20 years since installation and requires replacement. Contractors must provide all materials and labor, and demonstrate general liability and workers compensation insurance. A site walkthrough is scheduled for June 14, 2021, and sealed bids are due by 10 a.m. on June 25, 2021. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The work must be completed within one week of commencement, unless otherwise agreed, or be subject to a $1,000 daily fine.
The IFB outlines specific requirements for the replacement netting, including a minimum 15-year manufacturer warranty, UV resistant materials, and an optional 24-inch high small mesh base fabric. Pricing is requested for the netting replacement as well as the optional base netting. The Town will not pay any fuel or vehicle surcharges, and the contract is subject to prevailing wage requirements and other statutory compliance. Awarded contractors must enter into the Town's standard contract agreement.

3.2 The Bidder should be familiar with all of the IFB requirements and Bid Documents before submitting their bid in order to prevent misunderstanding. Bidders shall promptly raise the issue of any ambiguity, inconsistency, or error which they may discover in the Bid Documents, specifications, at the work site, or any other conditions which may apply. No allowance will be made for any claim where the underlying bid was based on incomplete information.
3.3 Inquiries shall be directed to Facilities Manager, James Keast at keastj@holliston.k12.ma.us or the Town Manager. Bidders should note that oral communications are not binding on the Town and only written responses by the Town may be considered by Bidders. All requests/questions must be submitted in writing. The bid must satisfy all requirements to be considered for award.
