About this file
This is an equipment list document for the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) detailing all radio, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), and Automatic Passenger Counter (APC) systems requiring maintenance and repair services. The comprehensive inventory includes equipment across the organization's active fleet of 330 buses, 60 paratransit vehicles, 46 micro-transit vehicles, and 44 non-revenue vehicles. Bus equipment includes Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), Intelligent Voice and Line Units (IVLUs), voice and data radios, ADA signage, handsets, and IRMA MATRIX APC systems. Paratransit and micro-transit vehicles are equipped with voice radios and Ranger MDTs. Non-revenue supervisor vehicles carry MDTs, IVLUs, voice and data radios, and laptop docking stations, while other non-revenue vehicles contain AVL systems and voice radios. Additionally, the organization maintains approximately 65 Motorola handheld radios requiring regular maintenance and firmware updates. Fixed-site equipment at Valley View Tower and Taylor Mill Tower includes Motorola MTR 3000 repeaters, Tait TB8100 data radios, radio network controllers, switches, routers, uninterruptible power supplies, and supporting infrastructure components. Equipment requiring routine firmware and software updates is identified throughout the inventory to ensure optimal operating quality and efficiency.
The equipment list serves as the basis for the five-year preventive maintenance and repair contract for SORTA's critical communication and fleet management systems. Specific pricing terms, award dates, response deadlines, and set-aside information are not contained within this equipment inventory document. The list emphasizes that while comprehensive, additional equipment may require repair and service beyond those specifically enumerated, indicating that the maintenance contract should include provisions for unforeseen service needs to maintain continuous operational capability of SORTA's transit communication infrastructure.
